NICA DELGADO
DIGITAL ORGANIZING FELLOW
She/Her/Hers
Nica is currently a student at Kent State University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. She graduated from KSU in 2025 with a Bachelors of Cultural Anthropology and a minor in World Literature and Culture. Additionally, she is the Vice President of Kent State’s Ohio Student Association chapter.
Her involvement with OSA starts in 2023 as a volunteer, but was brought on as a Digital Organizing Fellow in the fall of 2024. Now, she is on staff with OSA as a Digital Organizer. She works with OSA organizers and member leaders to support and implement digital strategy on local and statewide campaigns, participate in team and statewide meetings, and operate all relevant social media channels. She loves that this position allows them to interact with a diverse group of peers from around the state.
Nica considers herself lucky to know firsthand the struggles of immigrants, people with disabilities, and veterans. She grew up with a desire to help her loved ones live a better and more fulfilling life, and for nearly a decade has been working locally to accomplish her goals. Her experience includes leading DEI workshops, registering Ohioans to vote, mentoring, and volunteering. She hopes that by working closely with OSA, she will be able to build on their experience and create new opportunities for others.
Although Nica mostly uses her free time to study, she also enjoys playing video games, freelance illustrating, and sewing.
